The work of Amathav unfolds across commissions, collaborations, and research. Each piece is approached as a living object, designed with intention, structure, and the possibility of continuation.

This portfolio is presented in chapters, reflecting the different ways garments are conceived, made, and carried forward.

BRIDAL COUTURE COMMISIONS

Private bridal commissions form the heart of Amathav. Each garment is developed through a close, considered dialogue, shaped by the wearer’s history, movement, and future use.Bridal, here, is not an endpoint. It is a prologue.

Atelier & house collaborations

Alongside private commissions, our founder has worked within atelier environments and collaborated with established houses. These experiences have shaped our technical rigor, production awareness, and understanding of couture systems.

TRANSFORMATIONS & research process

This chapter documents research led practices that inform our couture work. These projects explore material memory, sourcing, transmission of craft, and the quiet labor of making.

founder's SPECIAL PROJECTS

vintage hand painted design, paris

Since my arrival in Europe, I have spent years sourcing vintage laces, trims, and textile fragments through markets, small dealers, and forgotten collections. This research is slow, physical, and deeply intentional. It requires time, patience, and the ability to read a material beyond its surface. I am drawn to lace not as ornament, but as evidence. Evidence of hands, of eras, of domestic and ceremonial lives once lived. Each piece carries wear, repair, and absence. These traces are not flaws. They are information. This practice grew through The White Story and continues through Fils de Mémoire, where sourcing becomes a form of listening. I study how materials age, how they respond to handling, and how they can be re integrated into contemporary garments without erasing their past. In my couture work, vintage lace is never applied decoratively. It is rehydrated, stabilized, and structurally considered. It informs silhouette, construction, and movement. These materials are chosen not to romanticize the past, but to extend it. This research shapes how I design. It slows the process. It sharpens decisions. It ensures that every garment carries a lineage that is felt, not performed.

Grow Your Vision

Each project begins with listening.
If this work resonates with you, we would be glad to continue the dialogue through a private commission or thoughtful collaboration.
